With over 250 Agile certifications available, it’s worthwhile to do some research before deciding which one is right for you.
Scrum Alliance CSTs are more than just Scrum trainers, they are integral national and international ambassadors of Scrum and agile. They turn learning from “informational to transformational” and actively contribute to a passionate community of change agents around the world. Each CST brings a unique viewpoint and story, causing a ripple effect of Scrum and agile education and growth across the globe.
As a Certified ScrumMaster, you’ll have the training you need to help your Scrum Team perform at their highest level. Through the certification process, you’ll learn the Scrum framework and gain an understanding of team roles, events, and artifacts. As the expert of Scrum values, principles, and practices, the ScrumMaster protects the team from both internal and external distractions.
One of the many advantages of being a Scrum Alliance CTC is that you can recommend someone to attain a CSM or CSPO if that person has already been provided 25 hours of in-person, one-on-one, or small group Scrum coaching (eight individuals maximum). The person you recommend will be eligible for (a) a Certified ScrumMaster certification if the person you recommend passes the CSM exam, and/or (b) a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification if you, as the CTC, hold a CSPO certification.
Being a Disciplined Agile Lean Scrum Master (DALSM) indicates that you:
Are an experienced leader in agile solution delivery
Have the potential to lead your team in improving their way of working (WoW)
Are on your way to becoming a generalizing specialist
Have the potential to be a “junior coach” under the guidance of a senior coach (someone who is likely a Certified Disciplined Agile Coach)
The ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC) designation is granted to professionals who successfully complete an Accredited Expert Program (AEP) by demonstrating competency in the disciplines of agile coaching and facilitation. These rigorous programs — offered by leaders in the domain of Agile Coaching — guide qualified candidates on a journey to build competence over time alongside a cohort of peers. Vetted for quality, each Accredited Expert Program allows candidates to sharpen competencies in a real-world setting with ongoing feedback from facilitators and fellow candidates.
To obtain the ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Testing (ICE-AT), a candidate must demonstrate competency in the discipline of agile testing and test automation to a panel of three industry-recognized experts. The candidate will be assessed via an interactive remote videoconference session.
